About the job

We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our innovative consulting practice and contribute to Ireland’s most innovative precast concrete projects. Known for our focus on precast concrete design and the use of BIM tools to deliver high-quality, efficient structural solutions from projects conception to completion.

You’ll work directly with our design team to deliver time and cost-effective structural solutions that redefine construction efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build structural analysis models and calculations using BIM and SCIA Engineering
  • Review project documents and optimize structural solutions
  • Prepare technical specs for precast elements
  • Design foundations and superstructures, mostly cross-walls structures  
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to solve design challenges
  • Visit sites to ensure compliance and quality
  • Produce clear reports, calculations, and technical documentation

Qualifications

  • Level 8 degree in Structural Engineering
  • Suitable for recent graduates eager to start their careers
  • Skilled in SCIA Engineering, AutoCAD, and 3D BIM modelling
  • Strong grasp of reinforced concrete design and Eurocodes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Professional Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of Eurocode standards
  • Experience in precast concrete and off-site construction (preferred)
  • Able to interpret geotechnical reports and design foundations
  • Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction
