This single-storey building is designed with a precast concrete cross-wall system, ensuring both structural integrity and lateral stability. The precast shear walls serve as the primary stabilizing elements, forming a braced structural system that efficiently distributes loads and enhances overall performance.

The main structure consists of longitudinal and cross-wall precast concrete panels, forming a solid framework at ground floor level. These walls align with the architectural layout, ensuring a seamless integration between structural and design elements. Where necessary, steel beams are incorporated to reinforce the stability of the precast system, supporting critical areas of the structure. The ground slab and foundation systems are designed separately, while the roof structure, including steel framing, slabs, and supports, is provided by others.

Load Transfer Mechanisms
– Vertical Load Transfer:
The roof loads are carried through a light steel structure, which transfers forces to precast twin-wall panels. The primary roof beams, spanning the longer sections of the building, are strategically positioned to maintain stability. Bracing elements, placed along the periphery and central corridor, ensure additional reinforcement.

– Horizontal Load Transfer:
The structure is designed to withstand both wind loads and notional horizontal forces. Two key conditions are considered:

Temporary Erection Stage – During construction, horizontal forces are managed through precast walls, steel beams, and columns, supported by temporary propping until final connections are completed.
Permanent Condition – Once the structure is fully assembled, horizontal bracing directs forces to vertical stiffening elements, primarily precast concrete shear walls, which counteract external forces and maintain structural balance.
This precast concrete system offers precision, efficiency, and durability, significantly reducing on-site construction time while maintaining high-quality standards. The integration of precast shear walls, steel reinforcements, and strategic bracing ensures a robust and reliable building structure.
